Quality camera with fantastic features,
First off, let me say I have used many webcams over the years, and this one would be my 5th one I’ve owned.
Currently I own Logitech’s flagship Orbit AF webcam, which is a superb camera in terms of video quality. Knowing that, I could have gone with the Logitech WebCam Pro 9000, but I didn’t want to spend $99 for a secondary camera. I sought after to spend as small as possible and still have a camera excellent enough for low light.
With having test driven three other cheaper models which I bought and returned from Fry’s, I fortunately had to opportunity to get this one on Amazon Vine. While I have to admit the video quality isn’t as crisp as excellent as my Logitech, it’s still heads and shoulders above the sub $50 cameras that I tried. It is sensitive enough to be adequate for low light environments like my office at work, which was the most vital feature in a webcam. The software package is decent, comparable to Logitech’s.
In the webcam department, you really do get what you pay for. If you absolutely must have the best video quality, I recommend the Logitech Orbit AF or Webcam 9000 that use Carl Zeiss lenses. But if you want a decent compromise, this one isn’t terrible.

Outstanding out-of-the-box experience,
I plugged this camera into my Windows 7 64-bit PC, and it instantly recognized and configured it with no extra drivers required. I could immediately use it without any issues in Gmail and Windows Live Messenger.
The stand feels a small flimsy, but it has nice functionality, having configurations for both your desktop and the top of your watch. It has rubber anti-skid feet to ensure it stays place.
The cord is pretty long, at about 5 feet. I could have used another foot, but it was still long enough for my purposes.
The camera has a very soft white glow around the lens housing to indicate when it’s committed. This is a very nice subtle touch, far more lovely to the eye than a green or white LED, as I’ve seen on other cameras.
Finally, the picture and sound quality are outstanding. I’m hard pressed to reckon of a situation where I would want/use 720p resolution in a web cam, but it’s nice to know it’s there if I need it.
