    This is a slim internal DVD-RW drive with SATA boundary, I’m using this in a Silverstone SG05B mini-DTX case and it works fantastic:

    SilverStone SG05B Mini-ITX/DTX Motherboard Plastic Front Panel Case (Black)

    The drive arrived safely in a foam-padded box, but the cable and mounting screws are not included.

    NOTE: The SATA connectors on this drive are not the same as SATA hard drives or full-sized SATA DVD drives.
    You will need a special slim-line SATA cable:

    Connectland CL-CAB40022 SATA to Mini SATA Cable (6 Feet)

    The cable above is 40 inches long, NOT 6 feet. Shorter cables are available here on Amazon but they are much more expensive.

    Also, tiny metric M2 screws are needed to mount this drive. They are available here on Amazon:

    Zinc Plated Steel Apparatus Screw, Pan Head, Phillips Drive, M2-0.4, 4mm Length (Pack of 100)

    NOTE: The Silverstone SG05B case includes these tiny M2 screws.

    I bought this about a month or two and the drive stopped working completely. Just died completely. It was fine when I got it, then it just stopped working. Would not turn on at all. I checked all cables, two psu’s, uncommon ram sticks, but nothing. Took this out, all else is working fine now.

    This drive has a SATA boundary, but this is not visibly stated in the description.

    If you are looking for an ATAPI/IDE DVD drive, this product is not it.

    SATA cabling for power and the SATA protocol will be required, as this drive does not come with it.
