Quality for the price,
My ancient rig (Window XP Media Center 2005) isn’t what I consider a gaming desktop but I try to pretend it to be more than what it should be. I bought one of these due to their low price and them being practically the best graphic card that can utilize ddr2 memory. The one gig if VRAM really helps when you try to increase texture levels in games such as Starcraft 2 and by overclocking it, it rivals that of the HD 4670. We’ll value the cash in my opinion as it is a pretty mid-range gaming card and I’m sure the tale is the same if you want to use it for other media functions such as blueray and HD streaming.

fantastic HDMI output quality,
We bought this card for transmitting an HDMI signal from PC to LCD TV over two 25′ HDMI cables and the output is incredible ! movies are played on the pc and showed on the LCD TV in crisp 1080p video quality. Output is just extremely impressive.

Saphire is a real GEM ! ! !,
THIS IS A GREAT all around card for the everyday PC user, I couldnt be more pleased for 50 bux…LOVIN IT…
I got this to upgrade the less than feeble crap onboard graphics that the major makers have been sticking to us for years, Thats a whole other tangent that Ill do my best to stay off of..
Needless to say thanks to Saphire for coming to the rescue. The install was super ez, Windows 7 recognized and configured everythinhg for me, I was oprepared to go into bios and select my video device but this was so simple ANYONE can do it..The driver installation method I chose was to let windows find what it sought after online and that process was seamless as well..
I am running this on an HP Pavillion with a 300 watt power give and am not even close to blowing up my box granted my CPU only draws 45 watts but I have a bunch of add-ons So the 400 watt minimum shouldn’t deter you..This is a fantastic midlevel card, plays HD content flawlessly 1080 or 720, and really did a excellent job of relieving my CPU of a large workload . I have no issue with connecting to my 50 inch plasma show which is my default watch. I choose to use my HD audio source from my PC but pic is Flawless thru HDMI and if I ever want the audio to stream as well thru HDMI its a simple tick of a button or 2 and the audio is now flowing thru HDMI to my Plasma show..Simple and the CCC center is relatively ez to navigate to make adjustments..
I am a casual gamer and am playing many well loved games at mid to mid/hi settings but wouldnt recommend for Call of Duty Black Ops. or Crysis can play but at 800×600 and 1024 x768 respectively at low frame tariff..Not to much fun,LOL . W.O.W plays fine getting 40-60 fps at high settings.I also play mafia 2 at medium settings, Drakensang the river of time on medium settings Shank on medium/high and The newest star wrs @ 1024 x768 getting 45-55 fps..Not to terrible imao but wasnt getting this really for gaming but have been pleasantly surprised. I have yet to find an online MMo or MMorpg browser based game that will bog it down. But have realistic expectations. If your looking for a hardcore gaming card this is not it.
The card came packaged well and delivery was quick. It has performed better than I had expected. My home entertainment center now plays HD content flawlessly with the VLC player which I recommend over windows media or any other app for that matter for HD viewing as all u need is in it no need to play codec games as with WMP ,which is garbage and a resource hog IMAO.The card runs a bit warm but nothing to get alarmed about. My pc case is standard size and has lots of room for expansion, package did come with low profile setup stuff but I have no need… My windows exp. for graphics went from 3.2 & 3.7 to 6.5 and 6.9 with an by and large avg of 5.4 in Aero with windows 7 Ultimate. The 128 bit processing proves to be charming and quick and I really dont reckon DR3 ram wouldve made all that much of a difference.Kinda feel its overatedespecially if your pc has ddr2.I have it overclocked and it performs much like the 4670 I have in my HTPC in my bedroom but 30 bux less..All in All a fantastic product that gives ya some gaming caoabillities as wellThe 320 stram processors do a bunch to help that over the hd 4550 or 4350 both of which Ive had exp. with but are nothing more than cards to get fantastic HTPC pics..This is a huge step up for only 4 bux more than the 4550 with ddr3 ram and 64 bit processing..If u got the 4 bux get this card ..P.S. took a lil wrangling but the drivers are now up and running and the card works seamlessly in Linux Mint Isadorra(Based on Ubuntu). If I have any issues with this card I will update my review asap..Hopefully not..
